Lincoln MKZ hybrid issues – any good shop in Sharjah?
I moved to Sharjah from Dubai last year and brought my 2017 Lincoln MKZ hybrid with me, which has been great on fuel but now the electronic power steering started acting weird – sometimes it gets super heavy when I'm parking, and the dash threw a "steering assist fault" warning that comes and goes. I called a couple of garages near Industrial Area 6 but most of them said they don't really work on American hybrids or seemed confused about the difference between the regular 2.0 EcoBoost and the hybrid setup. Someone on another forum mentioned they found the Professional Lincoln Repair Sharjah and said the guys there actually understood the EPAS system and even recalibrated the steering angle sensor without just throwing parts at it. I'm trying to decide whether to go there or just bite the bullet and take it to the dealer in Dubai, but the dealer quoted 500 just for diagnosis and that feels steep if it's something simple like a wheel speed sensor glitch. Has anyone here dealt with intermittent power steering loss on a Ford or Lincoln hybrid around Sharjah? Really hoping it's not the whole steering rack because those cost a fortune.
